So my point on not doing this is that restricting what you add to the confines of the interior of an Altoids tin is a big part of using one. It makes you think very carefully about every item you add to the tin and the return you will get for the size and weight of each item. By adding additional storage to the exterior, your tin turns into something else. I’m really curious to hear what others think about the purpose of the EDC Altoids tin…

Literally just use a rubber band or a hair tie.
I used to put cigarettes in them.
